Stun Gun Batons make for added self defense
Stun Guns are a great self defense product and are easy to use. The problem however, is that the stun gun is only good in up close encounters. There are a few other options if you want your self defense product to be effective from a distance. Both of these options are non-lethal in nature, so they are safe for you to carry as well.
Pepper spray that now comes in a variety of forms can usually reach anywhere from 8-15 feet away. It is inexpensive and easy to carry.
A more expensive item, that is more similar to a stun gun, is a air taser gun. Air taser guns are similar to stun guns since they disable an attacker via electric current. The difference being you can shoot two probes that deliver the electric current from a distance. Now you have the power of a stun gun without having to get too close.

I think that the best way for self defense is :
not looking vulnerable "ideal victim" as a criminal may be looking for ... take this thought were ever you want.
You can were body armor and carry a shotgun and a samurai sword.

I have to agree with the idea that the Stun Gun Stun Baton is an excellent tool for maintaining personal safety and security. This tool is one I keep close at hand in my home because there are no "take backs" where our personal security and safety are concerned.
This tool works and works well. All the more so as one device in a group of tools useful on your person, in your home or at your place of business.

We agree with Mr Wells, a stun baton is useful at arms length. But to be certain you have neutralized the attacker, be sure to push the attacker with the stun baton - push and push until the attacker drops. A light touch of the spark will not work like it does in the movies. Good luck out there!

I couldn't agree more to you and to some guys who contributed here that stun gun batons is very effective for self defense especially indeed that crime rate is rapidly increasing. But then again, it is good to have back up in times of trouble and training in martial arts is quite effective in all situations.

Although stun batons are a good weapon for security guards, most people would be better off with pepper spray or a stun gun. At the very least, carry a personal alarm which can sound an ear piercing 130db.

Stun Batons make a great self defense device as well as stun guns! They are better than the general stun guns in terms of the reach with a baton is further and if you can at all help not getting so close to your attacker these work!

I am an older adult and have read a lot about stun guns. But my personal favorite is pepper spray and a personal alarm. I am comfortable using those products. If I were younger, I would probably consider a stun gun.
